I grew up in a family that used food and cooking as a means of fellowship and a way to convey love. For us.. taking the time to cook a wonderful meal for someone means that you care for that person and want them to know it. Cooking is love for us. My father was the second best cook in the whole world... the man had a palate and a food intellect that just simply couldn't be matched. The best cook in the whole world (other than Paul Prudhomme) is my dad's mom... Betty. I guess... I'm just a chip off the old block in that the traditions of love and fellowship that we have that are centered around a table of well cooked food.... whether at home or one of our favorite restaurants...is in me... and I'm thankful that it is.
