The following recipe has been chosen simply because it is a healthy alternative to the fattier meats on the market. It is used commonly in South Africa. I hope you enjoy it.

Bucatini all'amatriciana

Ingredienti:
bucatini 500 gr. - guanciale 180 gr. - una cipolla - pecorino - aceto - olio di oliva - pepe - sale - una noce di burro

Preparazione:
Preparazione: Fate rosolare il guanciale e la cipollla nell'olio e nel burro. Spruzzate con aceto, fate evaporare, e aggiungete sale e pepe. Condite i bucatini cotti al dente, aggiungete pecorino grattugiato in abbondanza.

Ingredients: -



1 can (1 lb 13 oz) fruit and syrup OR

3 cups fresh fruit sweetened and 3/4 c. water

(6-7 good sized peaches - peeled and sliced)

guanciale gr100

3 uova

due cucchiaiate di parmigiano grattuggiato

STAY AWAY FROM GROUPRECIPES.COM

Do not go there because in my opinion you will be disappointed. People there are back-stabbing liars who have double and triple identities on the site and go around messing with you and your recipes. Alot of the groups are just gossip-fests and they have private groups where all they do is bash other people in the public groups. It is downright ridiculous. I was there only a week or so and was reading what was written in the groups and I can tell you I was amazed at how little anyone talks… Continue

Cheese and Bacon Quiche





Ingredients:



3/4 cup plain flour

40 g butter, softened

4 eggs

2 cups milk

1 onion, diced

3 slices bacon, diced

1/2 cup natural bran

1/2 cup grated cheese

1 teaspoon mixed herbs
