Banana Nut Bread

2 Cups all purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1 1/4 cup chopped walnuts
1 cup butter (use sticks)
1 cup white sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 cups mashed over ripe bananas
4 eggs beaten
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 aluminum loaf pans (9 by 5in)

Directions:

Grease and flour loaf pans

In a bowl add the flour, salt, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon and nutmeg

Mash 2 cups of bananas ; set aside

Mix butter and sugar with a hand held mixer

Add eggs one at a time mixing after each addition then add vanilla extract

Mix in mashed bananas

Mix dry ingredients to wet ingredients in 3 batches scraping down sides after each mixing

Fold in walnuts then divide the batter evenly into the loaf pans

Bake in preheated oven at 350 degrees for 60- 70 minutes
