JJ Goodman, winner of BBC’s The Restaurant with Raymond Blanc has joined forces with The Dormen Food Company to create cocktails perfectly matched with the Dormen range.
For party enthusiasts wanting to impress their guests, JJ says: “Christmas is a time when party throwers stock up to cater for even the most exotic request, but adding good quality nibbles like Dormen snacks can make all the difference. It’s all about taking guests on a journey of flavour and taste. Getting the right snack and drink match is simple. For me it starts with good quality ingredients and a few basic rules. Complement and contrast flavours, salty with sour can set your taste buds on fire, and experiment and challenge your guests to try something new and unconventional.”
In this video, JJ toasts the Christmas season with a rich and warming Flambéed Brandy Blazer. with dried fruit:
o Fill brandy balloon with the following
o 1/2 fried apricot segment
o 6 raisins
o Twist of orange peel
o Thin slice of lemon
o Pinch of brown sugar
o Sprinter of cinnamon
o 50ml brandy
o Set light with cigar match
o Turn in glass for 15 seconds
o Blow out
o add 15ml cold mineral water
