Prince William and Princess Kate get to Vancouver on Sunday 25th September.
They arrive by float plane from Victoria, and will be able to see the beauty of Vancouver as they arrive.
They may even be able to get a glimpse of Granville Island – an island in the middle of a city.
“Picture a place moulded by a fascinating history, buzzing with a colourful artistic community. A living, breathing urban oasis filled with fine waterfront restaurants, theatres, galleries, studios, unique shops, cafes and the most spectacular fresh food market you’ve ever seen. Add a vibrant and diverse mix of people and activities, and you have a destination so dynamic, no visit to the city is complete without spending at least a day here. Just think of Granville Island as Vancouver’s Town Square. Where locals and visitors come together to be inspired, to be entertained or simply to breathe in some of its unique atmosphere. We hope to see you soon”
As you would expect, the Islanders are making sure the royal couple and their brood feel at home.
Lisa Simpson is the owner of Liberty Distillery on Granville Island.
“We are super excited about the royal visit. We wanted to create something to celebrate their arrival. The ‘Royal Tea Cocktail’ is inspired by… royalty! “
And what are the ingredients?
“Gin, we all know is a favoured spirit in the UK. We also included our Endeavour Pink Gin, infused with local cranberries. Plus with Earl Grey Tea syrup we thought it was something we could call the ‘Royal Tea!’
